KISUMU IMPALA SANCTUARY

Kisumu Impala sanctuary is located is located about 3km from Kisumu city and about 355 km from Nairobi. You connect by boat to the Island. The vegetation is grassland, woodlands and papyrus swamps. The sanctuary is a home to about 115 species of birds. The sanctuary is one of Kenya's smallest wildlife preserves

Animals in this park include:  leopards, hyena, olive baboons, vervet monkeys,Hippos, , Sitatunga, impala, jackal, crocodile, monitor lizard, bush duikers, bush buck and buffaloes.

By Air: Take regular scheduled flights from Nairobi for about one hour to kisumu
By Water: Kisumu is linked by ferry with Kendu Bay, homa Bay and Mbita
