What a beautiful oasis in the midst of a harsh landscape! Many people who are not big on tents come here with hesitation at first. However before they know, they start to feel at home. The property is culturally decorated and sensitive to the environment. This gives you that special feeling of being in the jungle while at the same time super comfortable.
The huts where guests stay are cozy and have plenty of room. Each has two double beds in each with good mosquito nets although there are no mosquitoes. There are also tents though staying in them doesn’t really feel like sleeping in a tent because they are placed in a more permanent structure. Each has two massive beds, and a full bathroom with running water.
Due to the property’s location at the boundaries of Tarangire National Park, waterbucks and elephants are frequent visitors at the lodge but luckily, they are not violent. But regardless, the Masai are always around to escort you at night and calmly chase them away if you feel scared.
Each tent has different decor. Some of their showers have the shape of a pelican. Others have elephant trunk art pieces and loos that are like a throne.
The lodge also comes across as a great place to travel with kids. There is a pool for them as well as attendants who are happy to watch over the little ones as they splash.
